KATHMANDU: Four Indians were on board the plane that crashed in Nepal. The Indians on board were Ashok Tripathi, Dhanush Tripathi and Hrithika Tripathi and Vaibhav Tripathi from Mumbai. All four are members of the same family. In addition to the four Indians, 13 Nepalese nationals and two German nationals were on board.
This morning, a Tara Air's flight carrying 22 passengers from Pokhara, Nepal to Jomsom went missing. The villagers informed the army that they found the wreckage while the army was conducting a search. The wreckage was found in Kowang, Mustang. Following this, rescue workers and troops arrived at the scene.
The plane was flying over the Jomsom in Mustang district when it was diverted to the Dhaulagiri mountains. Earlier, Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma had said that the aircraft had lost contact with the control room. This is Tara Airlines' 9 NAET twin engine aircraft. The pilot of the aircraft was Prabhakar Prasad Gimire.
