Did Rajasthan Captain Sanju Samson took wrong decision in the final? Rajasthan batting line-up collapsed

AHMEDABAD: Rajasthan Royals player Sanju Samson peformed well in his role as team captain in the IPL. But luck was never in his favour when its comes to toss. But in the final against the Gujarat Titans, the toss favoured him. Because of Rajasthan's good record in defending the score in the tournament, Sanju chose batting.

But cricket fans are now skeptical that Sanju's decision was wrong. The Rajasthan Royals were bowled out for 130 in their allotted 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya's apt use of bowlers made Rajasthan's batting line to collapse.

Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler gave a good start but other players were not able to keep up. Jaiswal (22 off 16 balls) and Buttler (39 off 35 balls) got out and soon Rajasthan players started getting out. Sanju scored just 14 off 11 balls.

Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya, who took three wickets for 17 runs in four overs, was the standout bowler. Sai Kishore took two wickets while Rashid Khan, Yash Dayal and Mohammad Shami took two wickets each.
