Will get acquainted via Instagram, Aneesha will ask to meet at Kozhikode; if you go, then will lose everything

KOZHIKODE: The town police have nabbed another gang, who steals money and mobile phones by honey-trapping people and calling them to convenient locations, via fake social media accounts. The arrested have been identified as Aneesha P of Areekkad Puzhakkal house and Shamjad P A of Nallalam Hasanbhai Villa. They were caught for stealing money and mobile phone from a Kasaragod native. The incident took place in Annie Hall road near Kozhikode railway station.

The woman had called a youth from Kasaragod Chandragiri, whom she acquainted via Instagram, and asked him to meet her in Kozhikode. The youth, who arrived in Kozhikode, was taken to an isolated place by the accused, was thrashed and robbed. The accused were recently released on bail in a NDPS case registered by the medical college police. They were caught by a police team comprising of town police station sub-inspectors’ S Jayasree, Anil Kumar, senior civil police officers Sajesh Kumar, Udhaya Kumar and civil police officers Vijesh, Jitendran and Sujatha.
