KOCHI: The UDF’s victory in Thrikkakkara is a blow to the head of Pinarayi Vijayan, the dictator of Kerala, said K K Rema.
Some people, including LDF leaders, are trying to portray Uma Thomas’ victory as a sympathy wave. That is not right. Uma’s entry to the opposition will strengthen the fight for women, including the survivor, in the assembly, she said.
The chief minister had led the election campaigns in Thrikkakkara. It was an election in which the ministers and MLAs had camped and took part in poll campaigns. The government had put forward the agenda of development including K-Rail.
However, the election results have proclaimed that this is not development and that the people will not accept such anti-people stances, but will retaliate strongly," Rema added.
