Three crores allotted to Apex Trauma and Emergency Learning Centre; will give specialist training to all health workers

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has decided to allot Rs 3 crores to Apex Trauma and Emergency Learning Centre which was set up in Thiruvananthapuram to ensure immediate specialist treatment for those involved in road accidents, Health Minister Veena George said.


Funding was provided to set up the state-of-the-art Apex Trauma and Emergency Learning Centre. Funds will be used for training-related facilities such as high-fidelity simulators and various manicures. So far, 11,000 people have been imparted specialist training through this centre. The minister said that the government aimed to provide specialist treatment in trauma and emergency to all health workers in the state.
