DGCA issues new guidelines for air passengers; strict action against those who do not follow Covid protocol

NEW DELHI: The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued new guidelines to air passengers in the wake of rising Covid cases in the country. It said that strict action will be taken against those who do not follow Covid protocols and guidelines at the airport.

According to the DGCA, those who arrive at the airport without masks will be declared unruly passengers and will be put on the no flying list. The DGCA also instructed airport operators to increase announcements and surveillance to ensure that passengers at the terminal are wearing face masks properly and following COVID-appropriate behavior at all times.
