Kangana Ranaut criticizes Qatar Airways CEO over spoof video; deletes Instagram story after realizing the mistake

NEW DELHI: Actor Kangana Ranaut is again on the news for criticising Qatar Airlines CEO Akbar Al Baker. She saw a parody video of Akbar Al Baker and believed it was true and responded. Kangana called him an 'idiot of a man' and deleted the story after realising it was a mistake.

A Twitter user Vashudev has posted a video in support of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma on his profile. Kangana criticized Ali after watching a spoof video in reaction to it.. In the video, Vashudev called on Indians to boycott Qatar Airways in support of BJP leaders in India. In the video, Vashudev says Qatar had offered refuge to painter MF Hussain who he says had 'painted nude images of Hindu goddesses'.

Vashudev also asked his followers to boycott products from Qatar and Qatar Airways on behalf of Indians who are thought to have been expelled from Qatar over the controversy. This was followed by the release of a spoof video of Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker. The video was released after dubbing an interview of Qatar Airways chief with Al Jazeera.

“Vashudev is our biggest shareholder with a total investment of ₹624.50. We don't know how to operate anymore. We request him to withdraw the boycott statement', says the CEO on the spoof video.

In the boycott video, Vashudev misspelled the word boycott. The spoof video mocks this too, the CEO says that if Vashudev wants to make Tik-tok videos, then he can give a plane completely for free or give two litres of petrol for free of cost.

Kangana Ranaut believed it to be true and lashed out at people laughing at the video. "All so-called Indians who are cheering this bully for making fun of a poor man remember this is exactly why you all are a big bojh (burden) on this overpopulated country," she said in one of her Instagram stories.“This idiot of a man has no shame bullying a poor man, mocking his insignificance and place in the world... Vasudev may be poor and insignificant for a rich man like you but he has the right to express his grief, pain and disappointment in whatever context it may be... remember there is a world beyond this world where we all are equal...," she wrote on her Instagram story.

But within a short span of time many reactions came out saying that this was a spoof video. Following this, Kangana realized her mistake and deleted her Instagram story.
