For the third day in a row, Covid cases crosses 2,000 in the state; reports 2415 confirmed cases and five Covid deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There are over 2000 Covid cases reported in the state today. For the third day in a row, the number of patients exceeds 2,000. 2415 confirmed cases and five Covid deaths have been reported.

Most number of patients are in Ernakulam. 796 cases. In Thiruvananthapuram district 368 cases have been reported and in Kottayam 260 cases.

There is also a huge increase in the number of patients per day in the national level. An increase of 38% has been reported when compared to the previous day. Within 24 hours, 7240 cases have been registered in the country.

Eight deaths were reported. This is the highest daily number of cases since March 1. The test positivity rate increased to 2.13%.

Apart from Kerala, the cases are also rising in Maharashtra, Delhi, Karnataka and Haryana.
