'Why hound me? Kill me at once': Swapna breaks down, collapses in front of media

PALAKKAD: The accused in the gold smuggling case Swapna Suresh fainted during an emotional explanation to the media regarding the case against her lawyer. Swapna said that she sticks to her confidential statement at the court and that Shaj Kiran's statement that a case will be registered against her lawyer has now turned true. A case has been registered against Swapna's lawyer today for sharing an old Facebook post.

Swapna asked why she is being attacked all the time and now she has no lawyer. Swapna also asked why not kill her instead of attacking people around her. She added that she is being hounded like a terrorist for no reason and asked why a case against Shaj Kiran is not being filed.

After the press conference, while entering into questions, Swapna showed signs of epilepsy and collapsed in front of the media. Family members later said that Swapna had been in a physical weak state for the past two days.

Police have registered a case against Swapna Suresh's lawyer on non-bailable charges. The Ernakulam Central Police has registered a case against Advocate R Krishnaraj for blasphemy.

A case has been registered against him for defaming a KSRTC driver and posting it on social media. Krishnaraj has been charged under Section 294A of the non-bailable Act. The case was registered on a complaint filed by Anoop VR, a lawyer from Thrissur. The police said that they will check Krishnaraj's Facebook post in detail.

Krishnaraj shared a photo on Facebook of a KSRTC driver driving a bus wearing religious symbols and costumes. KSRTC had explained that the incident is fake.
