Case of sexually abusing an actress; HC to consider Vijay Babu’s anticipatory bail plea today

KOCHI: The Kerala High Court will consider today the anticipatory bail plea of actor and producer Vijay Babu in the case of sexually abusing an actress. The actor's anticipatory bail in the case for revealing the name of the actress will also be considered today.

The actor revealed the name of the complainant via Facebook soon after the actress’ complaint was registered. Following that, the police registered a case. The high court had stayed the arrest of Vijay Babu in both the cases till today.

Vijay Babu's lawyer had informed the court that he is cooperating with the investigation. It was not sexual abuse but was consensual sex. The enmity for not offering her roles is the reason behind the complaint. The actor claimed that he did not intend to insult the complainant by revealing her name.
