BENGALURU: Actor Siddhanth Kapoor and his four friends, who were arrested for alleged drug use, have been released on bail. However, they have to appear before the police as and when called, said the deputy commissioner of police for East Bengaluru.
The actor was arrested in a raid at a hotel in MG Road, on the basis of a tip-off received by the police. The samples of 35 people were also collected. The police had arrested five people, including Siddhanth Kapoor, in connection with the incident. In the raid, two packets of drugs were found near a dustbin. One of the packets contained four pink pills and the other contained three blue pills.
Siddhanth Kapoor is a popular actor too. He has portrayed the character of Chintu Dedha in a 2020 web series, ‘Bhaukaal’. He has acted in several films such as ‘Shootout at Wadala', 'Ugly, 'Haseena Parkar', 'Chehre', etc. and has worked as an assistant director in movies like 'Bhagam Bhag', 'Chup Chup Ke', 'Bhool Bhulaiyya', and 'Dhol'.
