Kavya is lying, she called Dileep from mother’s phone, called Balachandra Kumar from same number, says investigation team

KOCHI: The further investigation team questioned actor Dileep's wife Kavya Madhavan, her mother Shyamala and his sister Sabitha in the actor assault case. They were grilled for two hours at the actor’s house Padmasarovaram in Aluva.

Sabitha is the wife of T N Suraj, third accused in the murder conspiracy case. The special team led by crime branch DySP Baiju Paulose questioned them after issuing a notice.

Balachandra Kumar was called regularly from Shyamala’s number. The crime branch found that Kavya had used this SIM. Shyamala was questioned to clarify this.

Kavya said that she had not used this SIM. The team believe she is lying. Before her marriage to Dileep, Kavya used to call him from this number.

The audio of Suraj and Dileep's friend Sarath G Nair hinting Kavya’s role in the incident had surfaced. Sabitha was questioned to find out the circumstances that led to this and to get a clarification on other statements. Kavya, Suraj and Dileep's brother Anoop will be questioned again.
