A jobless army will be created after four years; scheme will be huge setback for those who dream of permanent jobs; A A Rahim MP slams ‘Agnipath’

DYFI national president A A Rahim MP has expressed harsh criticism against the central government’s short term recruitment scheme Agnipath. The government should abandon this project, which will destroy the future of the country’s youth, he said.

The contractualization of the armed forces will take place through Agnipath. After four years, a jobless army, comprising of those exempted from the armed forces, will be created in this country, he said in a Facebook post. It has also been decided to stage DYFI-led protests across the country on June 18, 19 and 20.
