Karuvannur bank fraud: Suspension of cooperative department officials lifted, says no enough evidence

THRISSUR: The suspension of the officials of o-operative department in the Karuvannur bank fraud case has been withdrawn. The suspension of 16 officers has been withdrawn. The action was following lack of evidence.

The action was taken after a detailed argument and inquiry on the plea to the government by those who have faced disciplinary action. The order says to reinstate 16 officers back into service.

Two among the 16 officers retired. The order asks to reinstate rest of the 14. Meantime, the complainant M V Suresh responded that it was a move to sabotage the case. Suresh said it was a wrong move by the government and would approach the high court.
