KSRTC buses will have district numbers from now onwards

ksrtc

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KSRTC buses will be given District Common Pool (DCP) numbers to identify the buses on a district basis. Currently, KSRTC buses are given only bonnet numbers and registration numbers. Along with these, an English short form of the depots are also recorded on the buses. The DCP numbers are being included as part of shifting the depot-based activities to district level. The District Common Pool has a special code with two English letters for all 14 districts. The number begins at one.

The DCP number will be placed at the left side of the front of the bus. These numbers can be used for identifying the district to which each bus has been allotted. The registration numbers of KSRTC buses begin with KL15X.

DCP Codes

Thiruvananthapuram (TV), Pathanamthitta (PT), Alappuzha (AL), Kottayam (KT), Idukki (ID), Ernakulam (EK), Thrissur (TR), Palakkad (PL), Malappuram (ML), Wayanad (WN), Kozhikode (KK), Kannur K N) and Kasaragod (KG).
