Survivor approaches court seeking probe to identify person who leaked footage from memory card in court; no need to worry, says court

highcourt

KOCHI: The survivor in the actress assault case has approached the court seeking an inquiry to identify the person who leaked her footage from a memory card in court custody. Seeking a probe, the actress stated that someone had examined the footage in the memory card while it was in the custody of the court. The actress told the court that her future will be affected if the footage surfaced.

However, the court told the survivor that there was no need to worry in this regard. The court, which said that the footage was not leaked from the memory card, asked the government whether it hadn’t submitted a forensic report regarding this. Meanwhile, the prosecution told the high court that it had every right to seek an inquiry into the incident where the footage was leaked while in the custody of the court. It was found during an investigation that the hash value of the memory card containing the footage had changed while the memory card was in the custody of the Principal Sessions Court. The petition seeking an inquiry into the matter had been dismissed.
