THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State police chief Anil Kant honored Nooranad SI VR Arun Kumar with a certificate of commendation for bravely subduing an attacker, who blocked the police vehicle and tried to attack him using a weapon. Arun Kumar was also presented with a trophy by the Kerala Police.
ADGP Manoj Abraham and other senior police officials were present at the function held at the police headquarters. Arun Kumar, who joined the service as a civil police officer in 2007, passed the SI test in 2019 after 12 years of service. After completing his practical training at Agali, Chengannur and Pudukkad, he took charge as a sub-inspector at the Alappuzha Nooranad police station in November 2021. Arun Kumar is a native of Thiruvananthapuram.
