The recent revelation by a member of the Brazilian national football team has strengthened the rumour that Brazilian superstar Neymar will retire from international football after Qatar World Cup. It was Real Madrid's Brazilian star Rodrygo who revealed in an interview that Neymar is preparing for retirement.

Rodrygo also said Neymar had promised to give him his number 10 jersey when he retires. Neymar is the second-highest goalscorer for Brazil. Neymar has scored 74 goals in 119 appearances. Only Pele is ahead of Neymar in the number of goals scored. Neymar made his national team debut in 2010 at the age of 18.
Neymar was unable to play much for the club and the country last season due to his injury. Coach Tite said the other day that Brazil can cope without Neymar.
