Suresh Gopi quitting BJP? Any truth behind news; actor responds to rumours

NEW DELHI: Speculations were rife that actor Suresh Gopi was quitting the BJP in protest of not being considered a candidate for Rajya Sabha. It was widely circulated on the social media that the actor has been distant from the BJP leadership. Now, Suresh Gopi has responded to such rumours.

“I am not going anywhere quitting the party. Those who made such news should be asked what was it for. I will give strong support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and J P Nadda,” he said while talking to a private channel.

Suresh Gopi is currently in Delhi. As his Rajya Sabha tenure has come to an end, he will soon move from the national capital. The actor had contested in the last assembly polls as a BJP candidate from Thrissur, but was defeated.
