Actor Vijaykant’s right toe amputated, CM, Rajinikanth wish him a speedy recovery

CHENNAI: Three of actor Vijaykant’s toes have been amputated. The actor had been fighting diabetes for years and the decision to amputate the toe was taken after irregular blood flow to the region. The actor was subjected for a surgical procedure and would be discharged in two days, informed his party DMDK in a release.

The actor had undergone treatment abroad and in 2021 was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after developing fever and breathlessness. The actor announced his political party in 2005 when he is reigning the Tamil film industry. The DMDK had contested polls in 2006 and had garnered 8.4% votes.

Chief Minister M K Stalin and many film dignitaries including Rajanikanth have wished the actor a speedy recovery.
