Ganja cultivation on terrace of BJP leader’s house, son-in-law held

MALAYINKEEZHU: The Vilappilsala police arrested Renjith alias Unni (33) for allegedly cultivating cannabis plants on the terrace of his father-in-law BJP SC morcha district president Santhosh’s house. Santhosh’s son-in-law Unni and his two children were staying in a one-room shed on the terrace. The ganja plants were grown in two trays near this shed.

The accused was nabbed on the secret information received by rural district police chief Divya S Gopinath. He was arrested by a team led by Kattakada DySP Prashanth. The team included Vilappilsala inspector N Suresh Kumar, SI Anil Kumar, ASI Baiju, CPSs Praja, Hari, Ratheesh and Dansaf members Sunilal and Sreenath.
