Seven five-month-old foetuses found in canister; Could be foeticide following sex detection, says police

BELAGAVI: In a tragic incident, seven foetuses were found in a canister in Moodalagi village of Karnataka's Belagavi district on Friday. The foetuses are five-months-old and could have been aborted after sex detection, said the police.

The foetuses were found by the local residents near a bus stop in Belagavi. The locals soon informed the police, who then arrived at the spot. An investigation is underway into the incident. Surgical masks and gloves have also been found from the spot. The health department has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
