Thrikkakara bypoll, CPM commission to enquire vote leakage, AK Balan and TP Ramakrishnan are members

​​​​​THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM appoints commission for enquiry into the LDF defeat in Thrikkakara by-polls. AK Balan and TP Ramakrishnan are the members of the commission. Matters including vote leakage will come under investigation. The commission will also look into whether there were any shortcomings in the selection of candidate.

Despite the strong LDF campaigns in the constituency under the leadership of the Chief Minister and the ministers, the LDF candidate had faced a major defeat. The state committee had discussed whether to appoint a special commission for enquiry into the reason for defeat. The commission was appointed after the discussion.
