TEHRAN: An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 hit Iran on Saturday morning, days after a powerful earthquake struck Afghanistan that claimed around 1,000 lives.
As per US Geological Survey (USGS), the quake hit 30 km NE of Kish and the epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 26.7253 degrees north latitude and 54.2613 degrees east longitude.

Meanwhile, a report stated that people in UAE also felt the earthquake tremors on Saturday morning. The tremors lasted for about 6-7 seconds and were reported in many places where Malayalees live. Many wrote on social media that today's tremors were stronger than ever.
