ALAPPUZHA: CPM attacked Rahul Gandhi MP's office in Kalpatta to divert public attention from the gold smuggling case, said BJP state President K Surendran. He told the media in Alappuzha that the CM had used SFI activists for attack to overcome his loss of image. This is a planned move by CPM. But Congress fell into their trap. Street clashes are taking place in the state as intended by CM and CPM. Despite the Rahul Gandhi's office vandalism by the CPM, the Congress has turned against the BJP. It was the Congress that gave the Left a chance to deviate from the political issue by protesting against the Chief Minister on the plane. The Congress stand shifted the discussion to political conflicts instead of discussing the gold smuggling and Swapna's allegations.

The BJP wants a pathetic opposition leader like Rahul Gandhi to flourish. Therefore, don't blame the BJP for CPM attack on his office. Rahul Gandhi has freedom to work in all BJP-ruling states. CPM says that Rahul Gandhi is being hunted by the ED, said Surendran. He also asked why the party which supports corruption was vandalizing Rahul's office.

CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that he will expose the false propaganda against the government in the gold smuggling case. The CM should resign on the basis Swapna's secret statement. Popular Front activists attacked a CPM activist in Kozhikode. When police arrested the accused, it includes CPM members. The CPM has many activists who are CPM activists by day and Popular Front activists by night. Therefore, Kodiyeri has to expel such terrorists in the CPM, continued Surendran.

The BJP president said the increase in electricity charges in the state was putting too much burden on the people. The government has given a heavy blow to the common man who is already suffering from inflation. After bus charge hike last month, now the government has increased electricity charges for the people. Surendran said that the Chief Minister was hurting people and using their money for buying new cars every month.
