KSEB’s corruption burden imposed upon people, says V D Satheesan

KOCHI: It is objectionable that the KSEB has increased electricity tariff rates to impose the financial burden, it had brought upon itself due to corruption and mismanagement, on the people, said opposition leader V D Satheesan. The government’s unnecessary expenses, even when the state is facing financial crisis, and the failure in revenue collection had led the state to the current situation. The government will not be able to pay salaries when the central share and GST compensation stops for the deficit budget, he said.

“A white paper should be issued about the debt and the due amount. The CPM district secretary’s allegation that Rahul Gandhi is not doing anything in his constituency is baseless. The CPM had taken up Smriti Irani’s quotation to expel Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad. A cabinet meeting chaired by Pinarayi Vijayan decided to implement the buffer zone. When the same decision became a Supreme Court verdict, they organized hartals in Idukki and Wayanad to deceive the people”, said Satheesan.
