THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday denied the allegation raised by Swapna Suresh that he had forgotten to take a baggage on his trip to Dubai. The Chief Minister gave a reply in writing to the Assembly that he had not forgotten his baggage during his trip to Dubai. The CM also said that there was no question of currency smuggling as the baggage had not gone missing.

Swapna Suresh, the prime accused in the gold smuggling case, had alleged that the CM had forgotten to take a baggage on his trip to Dubai in 2016 and that M Sivasankar intervened and sent the baggage containing currency to the UAE with the help of an official of the UAE consulate.
