Vijay Babu to be subjected for potency test, evidence to be collected from luxurious flat in Kochi

KOCHI: Actor and producer Vijay Babu will be subjected for a potency test in the case of sexually abusing an actress. He will be subjected for the test in the coming days. However, evidence will be collected from the actor’s luxurious flat in Kochi today.

Vijay Babu was arrested and released on bail the other day. He was summoned to Ernakulam South Police Station, questioned for two hours and then his arrest was recorded. He was taken to the flat mentioned in the complaint and collected evidence. Kochi city deputy police commissioner V U Kuriakose said that he has been found guilty. Further proceedings will be taken soon. Evidence was collected from the suite in Panampilly Nagar. The actress had mentioned that she was sexually abused in some hotels in Kochi also. Evidence will be collected from here in the coming days. Before taking him to collect evidence, he was subjected for a medical examination.

He was released on bail in the evening as per the anticipatory bail conditions. There is court’s permission to question him in custody till July 3. He should appear for interrogation from 9 am to 6 pm.

There are two cases against him, one is the sexual abuse case and the other for revealing the name of the actress. She lodged the complaint on April 22. The actor who fled to Dubai from Bengaluru revealed the name of the actress through a Facebook live.

The police had issued a lookout notice against him and his passport was also cancelled. He reached the state and got anticipatory bail following the intervention of the high court. It was also alleged that he had offered the actress an amount of Rs one crore to withdraw from the complaint.
