THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All passenger and MEMU services that were suspended following the Covid outbreak will be resumed next month under the new name of Unreserved Express, or Passenger Express. As it is an express fare, the minimum ticket price will be Rs 30.
There will be no change in the price of season tickets. Tickets will be available live at the counters. General coach reservations for long-distance trains will be fully withdrawn. De-reserved coaches on these trains will also provide general tickets for passengers. De-reserved coaches on these trains will also be given to general ticket passengers.
The Kochuveli Bhavnagar Express, Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala, Thiruvananthapuram-Lokmanya Tilak Netravati and Kochuveli-Lokmanya Tilak Biweekly will have de-reserved coaches from June 30. Ernakulam-Okha and Kochuveli-Rishikesh will have de-reserved coaches from July 1. The Ernakulam-Pune and Thiruvananthapuram-Veraval Express will have de-reserved coaches from July 4. The Nagercoil-Gandhidham Express will have de-reserved coaches from July 5. The Kochuveli-Amritsar Express will have de-reserved coaches from July 6.
The Thrissur Passenger from Shoranur, which starts at 10:10 pm, and the Nilambur Passenger from Shoranur, which starts at 9 pm, will resume services on July 3. Kannur Passenger from Thrissur, which starts at 6:35 am, and the Shoranur Passenger from Kannur, which starts at 3.10 pm, will resume services on July 4.
