Swapna Suresh appears before crime branch, says not afraid of arrest

KOCHI: Swapna Suresh, accused in the gold smuggling case, appeared before the crime branch in the conspiracy case. She was questioned in the case registered by the Thiruvananthapuram Cantonment Police on K T Jaleel’s complaint. Though the crime branch had issued a notice twice in the case, she did not appear before them pointing ED’s interrogation.

The high court will consider today the anticipatory bail plea filed by Swapna in the conspiracy case. If this is rejected, then she is likely to be arrested. However, while talking to the media she said that she is not afraid of the arrest.

Meantime, Shaj Kiran, whom Swapna alleged to have intervened to withdraw the secret statement, appeared before the ED today for questioning. Shaj Kiran said that all documents related to financial transactions will be handed over to the ED. Has not earned anything illegally. All things disclosed to the crime branch will be divulged to the ED also. Shaj Kiran said that the phone has been handed over to the crime branch.
