An OTP system to be introduced to put an end to building number fraud

psc-fraud

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 'Sanchaya' software will be fully revised to put an end to building number fraud in local bodies. As per the revision, the officials in charge will be give more responsibility. The discussions regarding this are in progress with the Directorate of Urban Affairs and the Information Kerala Mission, which is in charge of the software. The recommendation about the changes will be submitted to the government and it will be implemented only after receiving the approval.

An OTP will be send on the concerned officer's mobile number while entering the user ID and password. A system which allows login only after entering the OTP will be implemented. If wrong OTP is entered then a warning message will be send on mobile. This message will be received every time you log in and log out.

Such a system is being introduced as building number fraud becomes prevalent in the state. More security mechanisms have been introduced to stop the irregularities so that the concerned officer will be responsible in case of failure. Such fraud became common as no strict action were taken earlier.
