PALAKKAD: Youth Congress state executive member Vivek H Nair has been suspended based on a misbehaviour complaint filed by a woman leader. The incident happened during the Youth Congress state camp.

During the camp, he behaved inappropriately with a woman leader who is a native of Thiruvananthapuram. After the incident, the woman leader had lodged a complaint with the state president and national secretary of the Youth Congress. As a result, C B Pushpalatha, national secretary of IYC announced that Vivek has been suspended from primary membership of Youth Congress.

The incident took place during the Yuva Chintan Shibir state camp held in Palakkad a few days ago. The camp was organized under the leadership of MLA Shafi Parampil. Vivek Nair, who was suspended earlier for misbehaviour, had recently returned to the organization.

The National Secretary has also stated that strict action will be taken due to repeated indiscipline despite the warning. Meanwhile, supporters of Vivek argue that the complaint of the woman leader is fake.
