Government waives off two bonus points for swimming proficiency; Plus one classes to commence on August 17

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A prospectus has been released which waives off bonus points for swimming proficiency for Plus One and Vocational Higher Secondary admissions amid complaints of misuse of certificates. Kerala Kaumudi had earlier reported about this.

Admission Schedule

Trial Allotment: July 21

First Allotment: July 27

Last Allotment : August 11

After the main stage, fresh applications will also be invited and supplementary allotments will be released and the admission will be closed on September 30.

Admissions in sports quota can be applied online and has two stages.Eligibility for admission is determined by calculating the student's WGPA (Weighted Grade Point Average). The number of allotments in the main phase has been increased from two to three.


Marginal seat increase and temporary additional batches are allowed right from the main stage.In the VHSE section, 30 students are admitted in 389 schools each. 33,030 seats in 1101 batches.

The prospectus has been released removing two bonus points for swimming proficiency. But bonus points available to NCC, Scout, JRC, Children of soldiers, etc. have been retained.' The admission process will take place smoothly and all those eligible for higher education will have the opportunity to do so', said Minister V Sivankutty.
