Saji Cherian made a mistake, no replacement for the time being, says Kodiyeri Balakrishnan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Saji Cherian’s resignation from the ministerial berth was timely, said CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The resignation was based on the party’s stance too. For the time being, no other minister shall replace him, said Kodiyeri, in a press conference.

“The party stands for constitutional values. By resigning, Saji Cherian has upheld democratic values. Saji Cherian made a mistake. He himself understood the defect in his speech. With the resignation, the issues have become irrelevant. The chief minister will decide on the handover of portfolios. Active investigation is going on into the AKG Centre attack. It will take time to nab the accused”, Kodiyeri said.
