AHMEDABAD: Heavy rain continues in Gujarat. The state has received heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours. 61 people have lost their lives so far in the floods due to heavy rains.
Many villages in Gujarat were isolated after the rains. NDRF teams are deployed to rescue people. More than 6,000 people have been evacuated. Efforts are underway to rescue more people.

388 roads including state highways and panchayat roads have been closed due to widespread rains. Thirteen dams have been put on high alert and eight dams on alert due to rising water levels in heavy rains.
In some areas, the ground floors of buildings were completely submerged. Many people sought shelter on the terrace on Sunday night. Today was a holiday for schools and colleges in the city.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered help to Gujarat. PM Modi assessed the situation while talking to Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and assured full cooperation from the Centre for the victims.
