KOLLAM: The forest department officials have seized the car of the accused YouTuber in connection with the incident of encroaching into the Mampazhathara reserve forest. The accused has been identified as Amala Anu, a native of Kilimanoor. She had encroached into the forest and captured the visuals of a wild elephant using a helicam.
Amala’s car was taken into custody from Kilimanoor. The woman is still absconding. The investigation team had reached the place in Kilimanoor, where the accused was hiding, but she escaped from there. Following which, her car was seized by the officials.
Although, Amala went to her friend’s house in Palakkad, on learning about the forest department intensifying the probe with the help of the cyber cell, she fled the place. The video was shot eight months back. The forest department had registered the case after the videos went viral on social media.
