NEW DELHI: A Sikkim police officer shot dead three of his colleagues for allegedly speaking offensive remarks about his wife. The incident occurred at a fresh water plant in Haiderpur, New Delhi. Sikkim police officer Prabin Rai is the accused. The deceased are also officers in Sikkim Police.The four of them were on deputation in New Delhi as part of the Indian Reserve Battalion. Prabin Rai surrendered to the Delhi Police after the incident.
Delhi Deputy Commissioner of Police Pranav Tayal said that two people died on the spot and one died on the way to BSA hospital. Delhi Special Police Commissioner (Law and Order) Dependra Pathak said that Prabin Rai had confessed shooting his colleagues because they were mentally harassing him by saying bad comments about his wife.
