KOCHI: The High Court has granted time till July 22 to submit the further investigation report in the actor assault case and capturing obscene visuals. Justice Kauser Edappagath's verdict was on a petition filed by the government and the investigation team seeking three more weeks to complete the investigation.
Director General of Prosecution T A Shaji said that the final report has been prepared after the High Court rejected the request to allow three weeks to complete the investigation. He demanded to extend time till Monday to go through the reports. It was also clarified that such a demand is being made because there are many pages in the report. As a result, the court extended time till Friday.
The court finally ordered to complete the further investigation on July 15. The investigation team again approached the High Court seeking more time. Meanwhile, former DGP R Sreelekha's revelations came out saying that the evidence against Dileep was fabricated. A forensic report also came out which stated that the hash value of the memory card in the custody of the court has changed. The government's argument was that the team needs three more weeks to investigate these facts.
