Acted due to financial issues; will no longer act in rummy like ads, says Lal

KOCHI: Actor Lal said that he acted in online rummy advertisements following financial issues. Acted in the ads due to financial crisis during Covid time and will not act in such advertisements again, he said while talking to a private channel.

‘There was a lot of financial difficulties during the time of Covid. The advertisement came at that time. I thought a lot. Acted after thinking that it was done with the permission of the government. I didn't think it would create such big issues or lead to suicides. Will no longer act in such ads. I am sad in acting in rummy's ad,' said Lal.

K B Ganesh Kumar had raised the issue in the assembly yesterday. He had asked the government to make film stars withdraw from acting in online rummy ads. Ganesh Kumar also said that it is a shame that our actors are participating in such anti-social advertisements. Lal responded after this.
