Case of abducting and sexually abusing minor; accused sentenced to 46 years and imposes fine of 2.75 lakh

PALAKKAD: The accused in the case of abducting and sexually abusing a five-and-a-half-years-old girl, has been sentenced to 46 years. A fine of Rs 2.75 lakh has been imposed on him. The Pattambi fast track court sentenced Ayoob, a resident of Kongad.

Ayoob sexually abused the girl years ago. He kidnapped the girl from her home, and sexually abused her after taking her to a nearby plot. 16 witnesses were examined in the case. 15 documents were produced. The punishment was pronounced today. Judge Sathish Kumar ordered to pay the fine to the survivor. If the amount is not paid, then he will have to undergo an additional two-and-a-half-years’ sentence.
