Unexpected situation: Flights scheduled to land at Kannur airport diverted

MATTANUR: Two flights scheduled to land at Kannur airport were diverted due to adverse weather conditions. An Air India Express flight from Doha was diverted to Kochi and a Go First flight from Dubai was diverted to Bengaluru.

The flights were diverted as the pilot could not see the runway due to fog. The Air India Doha flight, which was scheduled to reach Kannur at 5 am on Wednesday, left for Kochi and returned to Kannur only at 8:50 am. The Go First, which was diverted to Bengaluru, arrived at Kannur by 1:40 pm.
