Rs 506 crore central assistance for renovation of roads in Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has issued an order sanctioning Rs 506.14 crore for the implementation of the projects submitted by the Public Works Department for the renovation of 30 important roads in the state. The amount was sanctioned for the renovation of 30 roads in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. A total of 403.25 km of road will be renovated under the project. Minister PA Mohammed Riyas said that the works related to the renovation of the roads will be completed in a time-bound manner.
