Train sabotage attempt should be taken seriously

train-

The attempt to sabotage a train by stacking metal chips on the railway track near Valapattanam is not to be taken lightly. This is the second time that a train sabotage attempt has taken place in this area. Stones have been hurled at the train several times. What happened this time was a serious sabotage attempt. On one track, metal chips were laid in a heap about ten meters long. The Malabar Express from Mangalore to Thiruvananthapuram ran for three-metres over the rocks on the track. After hearing an unusual noise on the track, the train was stopped and when the loco pilot checked, it was found that granite had been laid on another track for about ten metres. The traffic resumed its run after the top officials visited the spot and checked and removed the obstructions. The police must seriously investigate and find those who are behind this. The preliminary assumption of the police is that anti-social elements are behind the incident. The assumption of the police, that couldn't find the culprits before, cannot be taken into account. The sabotage attempt took place just three hundred meters away from the Papinissery railway station. Here the rail passes at a height of about ten metres. There is no population around. It is possible that more than one person was involved in the coup attempt that took place at night. The stones were collected after dusk and before nine o'clock at night. Those who clearly know that Malabar Express will pass through this route after nine must have worked behind it. The train escaped a major disaster due to luck. It is also suspected that anti-national forces have worked behind this. It has not been long since the stone pelting incident took place near Kottikalam railway station near Kasaragod. It is not yet possible to find out who this is. All those arrested by the police and released after questioning in connection with the incident of stone pelting on the train are foreign workers. The identity of the accused is yet to be ascertained. It should also be investigated if they have any connection with those trying to overthrow the railway. An effective investigation should be conducted under the leadership of a senior officer. In such incidents, if the police is not ready for a comprehensive investigation at the very beginning, it can lead to major emergencies. Moreover, failure to apprehend the culprits in such incidents will give rise to unnecessary suspicions, accusations and disputes. People will understand that the police are doing their duty when they investigate such cases related to maintaining law and order and the safety of train passengers, find the culprits and punish them. Otherwise, every action will look like a farce.
