kk

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPI Thiruvananthapuram district conference has criticized Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran. Lashing out at Kanam Rajendran, the CPI delegates said that the party could not correct MM Mani when he criticized CPI's national leader Annie Raja. Another criticism raised at the conference was that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who travels in an escort of 42 vehicles, is not the face of the Left front.

The delegates also alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was getting isolated from the people and that the departments of the CPI ministers were being hijacked by the CPM.

Some leaders pointed out that although the SilverLine is a project that causes major environmental issues, the CPI leadership is not taking a stand against it. The delegates, who alleged that the government is destroying KSEB and KSRTC, added that the CPI is remaining silent even when the public sector institutions are collapsing.
