Aparna Balamurali in Kappa; Manju Warrier rejects offer for Ajith’s film

Aparna Balamurali will play the female lead of Prithviraj in Kappa directed by Shaji Kailas after Kaduva. National award winner Aparna grabbed the role after lady superstar Manju Warrier withdrew from the film. Kappa is a film based on the novel Shanghumukhi written by G R Indugopan. He himself will be writing the screenplay for Kappa.

Reports said Manju Warrier withdrew from the film for Ajith’s film named AK 61. Manju is presently in Chennai for the shooting of the film.

The shooting of Kappa is progressing in Thiruvananthapuram. The shooting started on July 15. Prithiraj will play the role of Kotta Madhu. Actors Asif Ali, Anna Ben, Dileesh Pothan, Jagadhish and Nandu play important roles in the film. Jomon T John wields camera for the film. Kappa is made in collaboration with FEFCA Writers Union and Theater of Dreams started jointly under the partnership of Jinu Abraham, Dolvin Kuriakose and Dileesh Nair.
