‘Vadakkumnadhan’ celebrates Suriya’s birthday with posters and flower garlands; Police slap fine on bus

KOLLAM: The police have slapped a fine on a private bus, which celebrated actor Suriya’s birthday with decorations of balloons, posters and flower garlands. The incident took place at Kacheri Junction in Kollam city, last day.

The police action was taken against the private bus ‘Vadakkumnadhan’ that runs services in the Chavara – Kottiyam route. The bus was seen decorated with a poster wishing Suriya on his birthday, along with balloons and flower garlands around it. The balloons were hung in such a way that it blocked the view of the driver.

The dangerous driving came to the notice of the Kollam city traffic sub inspector, who immediately informed the policemen on duty. Following which, the bus was seized and slapped with a fine.
