BEIJING: An ex-husband, who murdered a vlogger by setting her on fire during live stream, was executed by a Chinese court, on Saturday. The dead has been identified as Tang Lu. He had killed his ex-wife Lamu, a native of Sichuan province in southwest China.

The woman had lakhs of followers on Douyin, the TikTok application for China, where she used to show off her countryside, often wearing traditional Tibetan clothing.

Lamu got married in 2009. She suffered a lot of domestic violence from her husband and got divorced in 2020. She had also lodged a domestic violence complaint against Tang Lu.

However, the accused kept harassing the woman demanding to restore the relationship. Following which, he barged into the woman’s house on September 14, 2020. At the time, Lamu was recording a video in her kitchen. The accused poured petrol over Lamu and burned her alive while she was streaming on Douyin.
