Governor comes to rescue of IPS officer onboard flight

AMARAVATI: A governor saved the life of an IPS officer who suffered from health problems during a flight. Kripanand Tripathi Ujela, Additional DGP (Road Safety) of Andhra Pradesh cadre fell ill while travelling in an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Hyderabad. Telangana Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, who was on the plane, immediately came with her stethoscope and examined Ujela and provided much-needed help. "Madam Governor saved my life. They helped me like a mother. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to reach the hospital.", Ujela said.

Ujela is a 1994 batch IPS officer. The incident happened around midnight on Wednesday. The governor also proposed that the IndiGo crew should practice CPR, which is a first aid to save people suffering from heart disease. Ujela is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital afer being diagnosed with dengue fever. Tamilisai Soundararajan was selected as the governor of Tamil Nadu when she was the BJP president of Tamil Nadu.
