kk

KOCHI: The High Court has stated that the SilverLine project is a good idea, but it should not be implemented in this way. Such a remark was made by High Court while considering pleas against the K-Rail social impact study. The government showed undue haste to implement the project. The government should act according to the constitution with the support of the people. Justice Devan Ramachandran, who considered the pleas, said that the government and K-Rail should think about how such a good project has come to this state.'

The High Court directed the state government to report the status of the SilverLine social impact study. The court clarified that the central government has not rejected or accepted the social impact study.

The government informed the court that it would not use survey stones. The case will be heard again on August 10.
