KOCHI: The High Court has quashed the state government's decision to grant ten per cent community quota to aided higher secondary schools that does not belong to backward or minority class and also have not clarified the community. The provision of giving Plus one admission to 10% students of their community on merit basis has been cancelled. The single bench also directed that these seats should be filled on open merit basis through centralized allotment. The order is not applicable to earlier admissions. This reservation is not available to managements working on a non-community basis and are run by individuals, trust or societies .
